WWII Veterans Recognition - Marquette County 2008

In September 2007, a Committee for Recognition of Marquette County WWII Veterans was formed for the purpose of recognizing WWII veterans who at any time lived in Marquette County. Recognition will be geared to the 4th of July, 2008. Following are some of our goals needed to accomplish this mission:

Assemble a database of WWII veterans, living and dead, who at any time resided in Marquette County. This database will be put on this web site but will not reflect any personal data such as addresses or email addresses. Veteran data will be sought from as many sources as we can identify, including veteran organizations and WWII Veteran Registry forms available at this site and at other locations provided below.
Work with the 2008 Marquette Parade Committee towards recognizing these veterans.
Invite surrounding veteran organizations to participate in our recognition processes.
Meet at least monthly to assess our progress and refine our goals.
